Jim BabbageJim Babbage

Born and raised in Toronto, Jim teaches imaging, web design and photography at Centennial College and Humber College. He's a founding partner of Newmedia Services, where he specializes in the things that he teaches. Jim is also a regular contributing partner to Community MX, where he's written over 180 articles and tutorials for Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and other general web and photo-related topics. Jim's tutorials have also appeared on Adobe.com and the Adobe Edge newsletter. Jim has spoken on Fireworks topics at the past several TODCon's and at Adobe MAX 2007 in Chicago.

Kim CavanaughKim Cavanaugh

As instructional webmaster for one of the largest school districts in the United States, Kim Cavanaugh manages web-based instructional content, develops new web-based services, and investigates new online content and services for classroom and professional development use. After nearly 8 years of work in the educational and web-based technology field Kim is a highly-regarded expert and a member of Adobe's Education Leader program.

Kim has authored three books and three online courses on Adobe Dreamweaver and Fireworks software, the most recent of which is Dreamweaver 8 Visual Encyclopedia. In addition he has written more than 120 articles and tutorials on web publishing products including Macromedia FreeHand as well as Adobe Flash, Contribute, Captivate, and Acrobat Connect. Kim's most recent work includes the use of video through Acrobat Connect and Flash Media Services to deliver just-in-time professional development content.

Not surprisingly, Kim is an active blogger. His BrainFrieze.net blog has received more than four million visits.

Paul DavisPaul Davis

Dreamweaver extension author, JavaScript Guru, Community MX partner, owner of Kaosweaver, inc. and programmer who works with PHP/mySQL, CSS, XML, RSS and a bunch of other letters put together to describe web technologies, Paul Davis has been speaking for TODcon now since 2003. Paul is also a small business advocate and has a passion for helping people setup and run businesses profitably. Paul has dozens and dozens of extensions for Dreamweaver and has been involved with Dreamweaver since version 3. Paul also works on SEO and usability issues for the variety of websites he is responsible for. Paul hails from Kansas with his wife and three sons.

Derek FeatherstoneDerek Featherstone

Engaging, surprising, and inspiring, Derek Featherstone is an internationally-known authority on accessibility and web development, a respected technical trainer, and author. Creator of in-depth courses on HTML, CSS, DOM Scripting, and Web 2.0 applications, his approach never fails to champion the cause of web standards and universal accessibility.

As founder of Further Ahead (http://furtherahead.com), he has been an in-demand consultant to government agencies, educational institutions, and private sector companies since 1999. He is the co-leader of the Accessibility Task Force of the influential Web Standards Project and also serves on their DOM Scripting Task Force. He is one of the co-organizers of Web Directions North (http://north.webdirections.org) conference series.

Neil GiarrantanaNeil Giarratana

In a past life, Neil led an award winning consulting team for Lockheed Martin that specialized in building prototype information portals for the CIA and other intelligence organizations. He and his wife are now "living the dream" of raising their two boys in the quintessential New England town of Keene, New Hampshire. Neil is President & CEO of Lucidus Corporation, an Internet Application Development & Hosting company based in Keene. He founded the Northern New England Macromedia User Group and speaks regularly at conferences throughout North America.

Teacher. Author. Lecturer. Raconteur. Chief Cook and Bottle Washer. Professor, Interactive Multimedia through Humber College's School of Media Studies in Toronto. Tom Green is the author of nine books, including his newest, Foundation Flash Video CS3 by friendsofED. Tom has done videos for Lynda.com and is also a regular contributor to the Adobe Developer Center, Digital Web Magazine and is a Community MX Partner.

Jesse HardingJesse Harding

When Jesse was very young he was told that because he had no earlobes, he would never be a good designer.  He set out on a mission to prove his parents wrong. Jesse began his career designing t-shirts. In 1997 his boss asked him to create a company web page. After many late nights chugging Mtn Dew and coding HTML in Notepad, he realized he was hooked, and left the print world never to return.

Today Jesse is the Sr. Web Designer at Access Development, where he also heads up Web Marketing. He runs his own multimedia firm on the side, and is the co-founder of www.tornadostream.com, a blog radio site. Jesse is an Adobe Community Expert for Photoshop and loves helping others get excited about design.

In his spare time, Jesse hangs out with his wife and 3 kids. He loves camping, hiking, training for and competing in triathlons and showing the world that even people without earlobes can design web pages. You can see his work at www.jesseharding.com.

Robert Hoekman Jr.Robert Hoekman Jr.

Robert Hoekman, Jr., is the founder of Miskeeto, a product development and web design consultancy focused on socially-conscious projects that improve the world.

He's a passionate and outspoken interaction designer, writer, and user-experience evangelist who has written dozens of articles and has worked with Adobe, Automattic, United Airlines, DoTheRightThing.com, Go Daddy Software, and countless others to create superior user experiences for a wide range of audiences. He also gives in-house training sessions and speaks regularly at industry events like Adobe MAX, Flashforward, SxSW, Future of Web Design, and others.

Rob HuddlestonRob Huddleston

Rob Huddleston has been developing web pages and applications since 1994. Since 1999, he has been a full-time instructor and has taught web and graphic design to thousands of students. Rob is an Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor in Dreamweaver, Flash, Acrobat, and InDesign. He is also an Adobe User Group Manager and an Adobe Community Expert. Rob’s first book, XML: Your visual blueprint™ for building expert websites with XML, CSS, XHTML, and XSLT is due out from Wiley Publishing later this year. Rob lives in Northern California with his wife and two children.

Denise JacobsDenise Jacobs

Starting with teaching herself HTML in 1996 (and dreaming in it for a while), Denise R. Jacobs has worked at creating websites, web application Localization, web Project Management, and teaching Web Design and Web Development since then.

She adores teaching people about the web and giving them tools and resources to do what they do better. Currently, Denise is a Senior Project Manager at Dotmarketing, Inc., a web application development company in Miami, Florida that produces the open-source content management system dotcms.

Danielle MickeyDanielle Mickey

Danielle Mickey is team player at Lucidus. Danielle provides QA testing, troubleshoots CSS, provides training for clients to work as content editors with CMS, pursuits new business and manages accounts. In a past life, she was a graphic designer -- now she advocates usability and applies marketing and design skills to her current work. She is committed to finding practical, forward-thinking solutions that will grow business and improve operations for clients.

In her time off, Danielle enjoys home remodeling, making pottery and playing outside.

Alan MusselmanAlan Musselman

Alan Musselman is the Fireworks Developer Relations Manager. He has been using Fireworks since 1997 to prototype and build websites. When he's not leading the Fireworks beta programs, he can be found exploring San Francisco and hiking up and down the coast of California.

Greg RewisGreg Rewis

Greg Rewis is the Group Manager for Creative Solutions Evangelism for Adobe Systems Incorporated with over 20 years of computer industry experience. In this role, Rewis spends well over 200 days of the year on the road talking with customers, giving product demonstrations at trade shows and seminars, speaking at industry conferences, and leading specialized advanced training sessions featuring Adobe’s Web Tools product line. He is co-author of Mastering CSS with Dreamweaver CS3 (New Riders) with Stephanie Sullivan.

Before Adobe, Rewis was Macromedia’s Senior Web Tools Evangelist for its web publishing suite of software and web application development servers. He also represented the company’s millions of customers in an advocate’s role on the Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks product development teams.

Rewis began his web career as the original Product Manager and Evangelist for GoLive Systems and its CyberStudio product, later acquired by Adobe. Rewis has spoken at numerous industry events including Macromedia’s MAX conferences, Internet World, Web Design World, and numerous regional conferences. He was also in two MacWorld keynotes.

Jesse RodgersJesse Rodgers

Jesse Rodgers is the Manager of Web Communications at the University of Waterloo. His main responsibilities are developing more effective ways for the University to communicate with its various audiences on the web. He has been actively promoting the practice of accessible design, promoting web standards to the campus web development community, and maintains a Web Developers blog and his personal web space at Whoyoucallingajesse.com. In his spare time he works with the Dreamweaver Task Force and studies Internet Computing through the University of Liverpool. He also enjoys ju-jubes.

Fred RyalsFred Ryals

Fred Ryals has been designing and developing web and multimedia content since the HTML 3.2 / Authorware 3 days and believes that whenever possible, the online experience should be controlled by the viewer. His specialty is dynamic, browser- and plug-in independent web sites using PHP and MySQL in a Linux / Apache environment.

A Macromedia Certified Dreamweaver MX 2004 Developer, Fred is a Senior Web Developer with Leading Edge Design and Systems, Inc (www.leds.com) in Severn, Maryland and is co-manager, host and occasional presenter for the Annapolis Adobe Multimedia Users Group (www.aammug.org).

David StillerDavid Stiller

Co-author of Foundation Flash CS3 for Designers (friends of ED) and contributor to How to Cheat in Adobe Flash CS3 (Focal Press), David Stiller is a career multimedia programmer/designer whose portfolio includes NASA, Adobe, and major US automotive and boat manufacturers.  He likes anaglyph 3D photography, finely crafted wooden game boards, Library of Congress field recordings, Turkish coffee, and of course, Flash!  David is self-taught and gets a kick out of sharing "aha!" moments with others through consultation, mentoring, and regular contributions to a variety of Flash forums.  He's a partner at Community MX and an Adobe Community Expert. David lives in Virginia with his amazing wife, Dawn, and his beguiling daughter, Meridian.

Stephanie SullivanStephanie Sullivan

Founder and principal of web standards redesign company W3Conversions, Stephanie Sullivan is a CSS, accessibility, and XHTML expert, whose services are in demand by leading firms across the United States. She’s a top gun that companies go to for troubleshooting problems, training their web team, or to work behind-the-scenes transforming their in-house designs into functioning, standards-based websites. She has worked with clients such as New York Magazine, Adobe, University of California Fresno, Kumquat among others; her attention to detail always receives the highest praise.

Stephanie wrote the CSS Layouts included in Dreamweaver CS3, co-authored Mastering CSS with Dreamweaver CS3 (New Riders) with Greg Rewis, serves as co-lead of the influential Web Standards Project (WaSP) Adobe Task Force, is a partner at Community MX, a site offering over 2,800 tutorials to web developers seeking to increase their skills and is an Adobe Community Expert. Though an admitted workaholic, she escapes as often as possible from the little people inside her computer to play beach volleyball. Her guilty pleasure? 80’s music. Nina Hagen anyone?!

Estelle WeylEstelle Weyl

Estelle Weyl started her professional life in architecture, then managed teen health programs; naturally she chose a career in Web development. Since 2000, she has been developing standards compliant websites with XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. While running her own business, she has consulted and worked for a few sites not her own, such as Engage.com, Kodakgallery and Yahoo!.

Estelle lives just south of San Francisco. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Washington University, a Masters degree from Harvard University, and a much more useful Associates Degree from Foothill Community College.
