I have been going to TODCON since the first one in Orlando. By far it is the best conference, where I can get close to the issues that I work with every day. At the first one, I was mainly doing ASP programming. However, after attending my first TODCON and meeting other Cold Fusion developers I decided to take the plunge and start working with Cold Fusion. Boy what a change it made in my development progress. By getting the opportunity to meet other developers and designers and knowing I had resources to turn to even after the conference it boosted my confidence and helped me to become better at what I do.

Each year, I get the opportunity to meet the developers and designers that write the books and extensions. I get to talk with them first hand and ask questions and get more details than is possible at the larger conferences. The after hours sessions are sometimes the most interesting. The other developers and designers I get to meet is probably the best part of the conference.

I may or may not attend other conferences throughout the year, but the one conference I will always put on my agenda and attend without fail is TODCON. I look forward to this years wonders. - Barbara O.
